Colorful Summer Wedding at Stillwater Meadow | Aledo, Texas

July weddings are known to be very hot here in Texas and Stephen and Amber’s day was no exception to that. It was a hot summer day for a wedding at Stillwater Meadow but it was so beautiful, colorful and so much fun. I don’t know what it is about Texas, but on warm, summer evenings, the light is just perfect!! The glow of the sun within the trees made for such beautiful backdrop for this colorful wedding!

When I first arrive to a wedding there is nothing I love more than walking into a bridal suite and seeing happy and joyful bridesmaids, mothers and the smiling bride! I immediately felt welcomed and loved as soon as we stepped foot into the bridal suite. Amber’s beautiful mom and friends were getting ready in gorgeous blue robes with their initials embroidered on them. They were so perfect!! This was my first introduction to how amazingly well-planned, organized and photogenic this day would be!

Amber planned all of the intricate details throughout the entire wedding day and worked with some amazing vendors throughout DFW to bring her visions to life. As you scroll through this blog post you’ll see her hard work on display! It was such a peaceful evening with the near miss of the Texas thunderstorms that hit everywhere but Aledo!

During the wedding ceremony the officiant teased Stephen about being a football coach and himself a football referee... he even brought out his penalty flags just in case Stephen got out of line!! Pastor David Pointer shared about love found in the bible, examples of a Godly marriage and shared the Gospel with everyone in the room. His words and cheerful presiding over the Kelly's was beautiful and memorable. Two days following the wedding, Mr. Pointer was called home to Heaven unexpected here on this side of Heaven but perfectly timed in God's plan. Family and friends celebrated the night away as DJ Kevin Fellers played the biggest hits and even turned on the smoke machine that he was hiding! We might have thought the place was on fire, but nevertheless it was cool!

I am so thankful that Stephen and Amber chose to trust me in this special moment for them! I am blessed to have worked with them but even more blessed by their friendship throughout this process! I hope and pray that these two have the most blessed and abundant marriage together!
